Ye has years of clinical experience working with adult clients of diverse backgrounds on a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, addictions, grief and loss, trauma, academic distress, self-image issues, and relationship issues.

 

Ye strives to provide clients with a safe, accepting, and autonomous supportive environment
through the experience of feeling heard, seen, and understood. She focuses on making space for folks to explore their inner world, and their relationship with self and others. She encourages clients to embrace the complexity of their feelings and minds, experiment with new lenses and behaviors, and grow with self-compassion.

 

Ye considers counseling to be "the art of helping". She integrates evidence-based counseling theories and approaches, such as psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and constructive psychotherapy. She tailors her counseling styles and strategies to attend to and meet each individual's unique needs.

 

Ye is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Maryland and received her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Counseling and Counselor Education.
