Kate Gorman,LCPC

She/Her/Hers

Kate strives to provide a nonjudgmental, empathic, safe, and welcoming environment where individuals can explore their past and present, manage stress, address challenges in relationships, and more. She believes each client is the expert on themselves, and by listening and appreciating each person's unique story, she works to help you to gain new insights, discover inner strengths, and find meaningful change.

Kate enjoys working with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences who are looking for support in finding more clarity and direction in life. Kate's focus areas include life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment concerns, and navigating relationships. In her practice, she uses client centered, supportive CBT, and mindfulness techniques in order to facilitate self-awareness, insight, and new ways of thinking.

Kate is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who completed her Bachelor of Arts and graduated Cum Laude in 2013 with a major in psychology and minor in criminal justice at Elon University and holds a Master of Arts in forensic psychology with a counseling track from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
