She/Her/Hers
Melissa takes a compassionate, goal-oriented approach that is centered on you as a person. She believes that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow, and she works with clients to develop practical strategies, rooted in evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and strength-based therapy, to help them move forward with resilience and clarity. She takes a holistic approach to well-being, recognizing the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit.
Her experience spans a variety of areas, including supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. She also has a particular focus on helping people navigate challenging moments such as domestic violence, adjusting to new life circumstances, or working through feelings of loss—whether it’s the loss of a loved one, a job, a relationship, or simply the loss of a sense of self during difficult times.
Melissa creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without judgment. She believes that therapy is most effective when it’s a collaborative process, where you are empowered to make decisions and take steps that align with your values and goals.
Melissa is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) with a graduate and undergraduate degree in Social Work along with a minor in Psychology from Salisbury University.
